ECG (electrocardiogram) or heart tracing is an essential test that measures electrical activity of the heart.

This test can detect:

Heart rhythm problems e.g. atrial fibrillation

Problems with the heart muscle structure e.g. enlarged heart muscle

Conduction problems e.g. heart block

Assesses the speed of electrical activity across the heart muscle

20-minute appointment with nursing team.

Note: You will be required to take off all upper body clothing including undergarments.  Excessive body hair may affect the test and therefore you are required to trim/shave hair on the chest wall.  You will also need to take off shoes and socks.  Chaperone can be provided.
