We’re dedicated to providing a thorough and comprehensive allergy assessment, ensuring that you have the knowledge and resources to manage and mitigate allergic reactions effectively.

Over many years there has been a marked increase in people suffering from allergic reactions or being intolerant to certain substances which can be food or non-food items. 

An allergic reaction occurs when your body’s immune system ‘overreacts’ to a particular substance (which health professionals call allergens e.g., pollen). This overreaction may produce certain symptoms such as itchy eyes and nose, irritation of throat, watery eyes, or sneezing. Other symptoms include pain or tenderness around your cheeks, eyes or forehead, coughing, wheezing or breathlessness. In other cases, you may get a raised rash (hives), diarrhoea or nausea. Serious symptoms include swelling of the lips, eyes, or throat –please call emergency services if you have these symptoms.

OnCall blood test laboratories offer extensive private allergy testing services. Our private laboratories are open 24 hours a day 365 days a year, and we can process tests much faster than other clinics. Being owned and led by GPs means we will go above and beyond to serve our clients.
